Anti-Estrogen Receptor-a (Ab-167) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide spanning residues165–169 (L-A-S-T-N) of human Estrogen Receptor-α, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is offered through Antibodies.com as a 50 µl aliquot of an unconjugated primary antibody supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The antibody is of the Rabbit IgG isotype and detects endogenous levels of the ESR1-encoded Estrogen Receptor-α protein (also known as ER, ESR, ESR1, ESTR or ESTRA), which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 66 kDa and is broadly expressed in human tissues where it functions as a nuclear hormone receptor. Validated applications include Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000), Immunohistochemistry (1:50–1:100) and Immunofluorescence (1:100–1:200), with reactivity confirmed against human samples. For stability, the reagent should be stored at 4 °C for up to six months; for longer-term storage, keep it at –20 °C and avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
