Anti-Estrogen Receptor-a (Ab-118) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Estrogen Receptor-α (Ab-118), supplied unconjugated and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence applications. The reagent reacts with human samples and detects the endogenous level of total Estrogen Receptor-α protein.

It was generated by immunising rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues around amino acids 116–120 (Q-L-S-P-F) of human Estrogen Receptor-α, conjugated to KLH, and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific peptide. The antibody is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL.

The product is shipped at 4°C; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The manufacturer's datasheet includes three scientific images supporting WB, IHC, and ICC/IF validation.
