Description

A rabbit polyclonal antibody offered by Antibodies.com is raised against Estrogen Receptor-α when phosphorylated at tyrosine 537. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the sequence around phospho-tyrosine 537 (P-L-Y(p)-D-L) of human Estrogen Receptor-α, and specificity testing confirms the reagent recognises endogenous ER-α only in its tyrosine-537 phosphorylated state.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline pH 7.4 containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It was produced by immunising rabbits with the synthetic phosphopeptide conjugated to KLH and was purified by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific phosphopeptide, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed using the corresponding non-phosphopeptide. Recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:1000 for Western blotting and 1:50–1:100 for immunohistochemistry. The reagent reacts with Human and Mouse samples and is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
