Anti-ERK1 + ERK2 Antibody [Assigned #A11116]

Raised in rabbit as a monoclonal IgG, this unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot and targets the MAPK3 / MAPK1 kinases, better known as ERK1 and ERK2. Clone A11116 recognizes both the p44 (ERK1) and p42 (ERK2) isoforms of the classical MAPK/ERK signaling cascade, the serine/threonine kinases that transmit mitogenic and growth factor cues downstream of Ras and Raf. The antibody is validated for western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, and on western blots it resolves the target as a closely spaced doublet at approximately 44 kDa and 42 kDa, which is useful for normalization against loading controls when total ERK levels are being compared across treatments. Published studies using this clone have run western blots at dilutions around 1:1000 to monitor basal versus stimulated pathway activity in cell lines such as HeLa, NIH/3T3, PC-12, and Hep3B, supporting applications in Ras-Raf-MEK-ERK signaling research, oncogenic pathway dissection, neuronal plasticity studies, and growth factor response profiling.
