ERH (Enhancer of Rudimentary Homolog) is a small, highly conserved nuclear protein originally identified in Drosophila as a partner of the rudimentary gene, a key enzyme in de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbits against human ERH and is supplied as an unconjugated, 100 µl aliquot ready for direct labelling or use in standard detection chemistries.

The antibody has been validated on human samples in two complementary readouts: Western blot (WB) for confirming the expected ~12 kDa band and immunofluorescence (IF) for visualising the predominantly nuclear localisation characteristic of ERH. Polyclonal sera such as this are particularly useful when probing for low-abundance spliceosome-associated and transcription-coupled factors, where binding to multiple epitopes helps recover signal across denatured and mildly fixed preparations.

Researchers investigating cell cycle progression, mRNA processing, or pyrimidine pathway flux have used ERH-directed antibodies to track expression changes across proliferating versus quiescent populations. The unconjugated format also allows users to couple the reagent directly to fluorophores or HRP to fit custom protocols, and the 100 µl volume is generally sufficient for several dozen blot or IF experiments depending on working dilution.
