Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the ERCC3 protein (also known as XPB, BTF2 p89, TFIIH p89, and Xeroderma pigmentosum group B-complementing protein), a key helicase/translocase subunit of the general transcription and DNA repair factor IIH complex. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, unconjugated and formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. It has been purified by affinity chromatography using the immunogen — a recombinant human ERCC3 protein — and detects endogenous levels of total ERCC3 by Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal with an IgG isotype, and the product has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies in DNA repair, nucleotide excision repair, and transcription research. For shipping, the vial is maintained at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity. Intended for research use only, this primary antibody provides a reliable tool for laboratories investigating ERCC3 function in transcription-coupled repair pathways and in conditions linked to xeroderma pigmentosum and trichothiodystrophy.
