Anti-ERCC2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets ERCC2, the ATP-dependent 5'→3' DNA helicase subunit of the transcription factor IIH (TFIIH) complex. ERCC2 (also called XPD) drives nucleotide excision repair of bulky DNA lesions and supports RNA polymerase II transcription initiation. Loss-of-function variants in ERCC2 cause xeroderma pigmentosum, Cockayne syndrome, and trichothiodystrophy, making the protein a focus of DNA repair, transcription, and aging research.

The unconjugated preparation is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, and has been validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly apply this reagent to compare ERCC2 expression across cultured cell lines, primary cultures, and tissue sections, and to follow TFIIH complex integrity after DNA damage induction.
