Anti-ERBB4 Antibody

ERBB4 (also called HER4) is a member of the EGFR/ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase family that signals downstream of neuregulin ligands to regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. In Western blot, it detects the full-length ~180 kDa ERBB4 receptor as well as proteolytic fragments such as the 80 kDa intracellular domain (s80ICD) generated by sequential cleavage by TACE and gamma-secretase. In IHC, it enables localization of ERBB4 expression in epithelial, neural, and cardiac tissue sections where the receptor plays context-dependent roles in tumor biology and development.

The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognizing multiple epitopes, which is helpful when studying post-translationally modified or alternatively spliced isoforms (JM-a and JM-b). Because the antibody is unconjugated, laboratories can pair it with their preferred HRP, AP, or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents.
