Produced by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent targets human ErbB-3 (also called HER3 or c-erbB-3), a roughly 180 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the EGFR/ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase family. Because ErbB-3 lacks intrinsic kinase activity, it propagates downstream PI3K-Akt signaling primarily through heterodimerization with ErbB-2/HER2, a feature linked to therapeutic resistance and tumor progression in several solid cancers including breast, gastric, and colorectal disease.

Supplied in a 100 µl vial as an affinity-purified liquid, the antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows and is reactive with the human ErbB-3 receptor expressed on epithelial and tumor-derived cell lines. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the target, which supports consistent detection in varied sample matrices such as whole-cell lysates, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and recombinant protein preparations.

As an unconjugated primary antibody, the reagent can be paired with secondary reporters of the researcher's choice (HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or alkaline phosphatase conjugates) for flexible assay design. Recommended handling includes storage of the stock at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody solution, with working dilutions kept refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use. Each preparation is intended for research use only and is quality controlled for specificity to the human ErbB-3 receptor.
