Anti-ERα (P124) Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com and originally developed by Bioworld Technology, this polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and is directed against Estrogen Receptor alpha (ERα), a ligand-activated nuclear transcription factor of the steroid/thyroid hormone receptor superfamily that regulates growth and differentiation in reproductive, mammary and other target tissues. The reagent is supplied at the standard 50 µl pack size as an unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on samples derived from human, mouse and rat origin. According to the Antibodies.com specification sheet the antibody detects endogenous levels of ERα protein, was generated against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids surrounding position P124 of human ERα, and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen affinity chromatography to a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, yielding a band at the expected molecular weight of approximately 66 kDa.
