ERα (Estrogen Receptor alpha) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor and transcription factor that mediates the genomic actions of 17β-estradiol. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against ERα and recognizes the native receptor in human, mouse, and rat samples. Supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the approximately 66 kDa protein in cell lysates and tissue extracts. Researchers studying hormone-dependent cancers, reproductive biology, bone metabolism, and nuclear receptor signaling rely on this reagent to profile receptor expression across relevant model systems. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage for consistent signal in denatured western blot workflows.
