Anti-EPCAM (H150) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EPCAM, also referred to as CD326, TACSTD1, or ESA), this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com was generated using a peptide antigen designated H150 that maps within the human EPCAM sequence. EPCAM is a 314-residue type I transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates calcium-independent homotypic adhesion in epithelial tissues and is widely used as a marker for epithelial lineage cells, circulating tumor cells, and many carcinomas of breast, colon, pancreas, and prostate origin.

The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH ~7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is unconjugated to allow direct use or downstream coupling. Validated applications include Western blot analysis of whole-cell and tissue lysates and immunofluorescence labeling of cultured cells or frozen sections, supporting work on epithelial differentiation, tumor cell dissemination, and stem-cell biology.
