Anti-EPCAM Antibody

This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes EPCAM (Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule), a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the basolateral surface of most simple epithelia and frequently overexpressed on carcinoma cells. It is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, preserved with 0.05% sodium azide.

Validated for Western Blot (WB) detection, the clone binds the human EPCAM protein and shows cross-reactivity with mouse and rat orthologs, supporting comparative studies across standard preclinical model systems. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of detection label fully open: pair it with an HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labeled secondary reagent, or conjugate the antibody to a custom reporter.

EPCAM serves as a routinely used surface marker in oncology, immunology, and stem-cell research, where it enables identification of circulating tumor cells, enrichment of epithelial populations, and characterization of epithelial-derived tumors. For handling, keep the vial refrigerated, aliquot on first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from prolonged light exposure.
