EPB41L2 (Erythrocyte Membrane Protein Band 4.1-Like 2) is a FERM-domain scaffold protein of the protein 4.1 superfamily that anchors membrane-associated complexes to the cortical actin cytoskeleton. The Anti-EPB41L2 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this target and provided unconjugated in 100 µl of phosphate buffered saline at 1 mg/ml with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, at approximately pH 7.2. Validated applications include western blot and immunohistochemistry, with demonstrated reactivity on human, mouse, and rat samples.

The protein is broadly expressed across tissues, with prominent neuronal involvement in tight junction maintenance, synaptic organization, and membrane–cytoskeleton coupling via its N-terminal FERM domain, internal spectrin–actin binding region, and C-terminal domain. Investigators use this reagent to study cytoskeletal remodeling, epithelial cell polarity, neuronal development pathways, and tumor contexts in which dysregulated band 4.1 family expression has been reported. The polyclonal antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on EPB41L2, supporting consistent detection in denaturing western blot workflows as well as in fixed tissue immunohistochemistry sections. For routine handling, refrigerate the vial; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze to preserve antibody activity and limit freeze-thaw cycles.
