Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EP-CAM), also known as CD326 and TACSTD1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on virtually all normal epithelial tissues and frequently overexpressed in carcinomas of epithelial origin. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com enables detection of human EP-CAM across western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. Because polyclonal preparations engage multiple epitopes on the target, this reagent can yield robust signal when probing denatured lysates by WB or fixed-cell preparations by IF. EP-CAM is widely used as a marker for circulating tumor cell enrichment, characterization of epithelial-derived tumor cell lines, and studies of epithelial differentiation, organoid cultures, and cancer stem cell biology. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a vial format, suitable for research-use immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry, and plate-based immunoassays. For handling, store at 4 °C for short-term use or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for longer-term stability; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light to preserve antibody integrity. Reactivity is reported for human samples.
