This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com targets endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) when phosphorylated at threonine 495, a documented inhibitory post-translational modification site. Phosphorylation at this residue is mediated by protein kinase C and reduces eNOS catalytic activity and downstream nitric oxide output, making the reagent relevant for vascular biology studies of endothelial dysfunction, hypertension models, and shear-stress responses in cultured endothelial cells and tissue lysates.

Validated for Western blot detection in human and mouse samples, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial sized for multiple membrane probing experiments. Researchers commonly pair this phospho-specific reagent with antibodies against total eNOS or the activating S1177 phospho-site to assess the balance between inhibitory and activating signaling inputs in endothelial cells. For best results, store the vial at -20 °C in small working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve phospho-epitope recognition over the shelf life of the reagent.
