Anti-EME1 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against EME1, the essential meiotic structure-specific endonuclease 1. Produced by Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies range, the reagent is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography. It is validated for Western blot (WB) applications and has been shown to react with mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-320 of human EME1 (NP_689676.2). The target migrates at a molecular weight of 63 kDa and the supplied product is formulated as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. The recommended starting dilution for Western blot is 1:500-1:2,000. After delivery the antibody should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

EME1 is encoded on chromosome 17 (region 50373220 - 50381483) and shows enhanced tissue expression in bone marrow, epididymis and testis. Subcellular localisation has been reported in nuclear bodies and the cytosol, consistent with its predicted intracellular distribution.
