Anti-EMC8 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a single-use vial, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects human EMC8, the eighth subunit of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein complex (EMC). The EMC is a conserved multi-subunit assembly (EMC1-EMC10) that promotes co-translational insertion and folding of tail-anchored and multi-pass membrane proteins, and EMC8 in particular stabilizes the complex through its interaction with EMC6.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the antibody supports investigations of ER-associated membrane protein biogenesis, ER-mitochondria contact sites, viral host-factor biology, and conditions linked to ER stress. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP, fluorophore, or biotinylated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent readouts.
