Anti-ELOVL1 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised against ELOVL1, the elongation of very long chain fatty acids protein 1 that functions as a condensing enzyme in very long chain fatty acid biosynthesis and sphingolipid metabolism.

ELOVL1 catalyzes the elongation of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acid chains beyond 18 carbons, producing C20–C26 species that feed into ceramide formation. The protein is anchored in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and is relevant to studies of skin barrier function, lipid metabolism disorders including ichthyosis, and lipid remodeling in cancer research.
