Elongin A1 (also known as TCEB3) is the catalytic subunit of the heterotrimeric Elongin complex, partnering with Elongin B and Elongin C to accelerate transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II. It is also a binding partner of the von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) tumor suppressor, linking transcriptional regulation to VHL-mediated ubiquitination pathways studied in renal cell carcinoma and hypoxia research. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against Elongin A1, this antibody is unconjugated and presented at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The preparation is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, with reactivity confirmed on human, mouse, and rat samples, making it practical for cross-species comparison of transcription factor expression in tissue sections and whole-cell lysates. The 100 µl vial delivers enough reagent for multiple blotting membranes or a panel of slides, and the absence of a conjugated label gives users freedom to choose HRP, biotin, or fluorescent secondary detection reagents depending on the assay design.
