Elk1 is an E-twenty-six (ETS) family transcription factor whose phosphorylation at serine 383 by activated ERK1/ERK2 MAP kinases drives immediate-early gene expression downstream of growth factor, cytokine, and cellular stress cues. This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal antibody specifically recognizes that phospho-S383 modification while remaining unreactive toward the unphosphorylated Elk1 protein, allowing direct read-out of acute MAPK pathway activation in lysates and tissue sections. The reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, in a 100 µl vial that supports multiple Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation experiments on human, mouse, and rat samples. Store refrigerated for short-term use, and aliquot before freezing to limit freeze-thaw loss of binding activity.
