ELK1 (Ets-like protein 1) is a nuclear transcription factor and a downstream effector of the MAPK/ERK signaling cascade, where phosphorylation at threonine 417 (T417) within its C-terminal transactivation domain marks active ERK-driven signaling. This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes ELK1 only when phosphorylated at T417, enabling researchers to map ERK pathway activation across tissue sections and cultured cells. Supplied as a 200 µl aliquot of unconjugated antibody, it is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) on samples from human, mouse, and rat. Typical uses include studying growth-factor and stress-kinase signaling in oncology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular research, profiling MAPK pathway activity in tumor biopsies, and monitoring neuronal activity-dependent gene regulation. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, the antibody offers broad epitope coverage around the phospho-T417 site, an advantage when tracking dynamic changes in ELK1 activation states in fixed cells and tissue.
