This phosphorylation-state-specific rabbit IgG primary antibody detects ELK1 when serine 389 is phosphorylated. Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated 200 µl preparation, it supports western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows with human, mouse, and rat samples.
ELK1 is an ETS-family transcription factor involved in MAPK/ERK-regulated gene expression. Researchers can use immunoblotting to compare phospho-S389 signal across basal and stimulated cell or tissue lysates, or use tissue staining to examine where the modified protein is present. The rabbit polyclonal format can recognize multiple epitopes on the target immunogen, while the unconjugated labeling format permits pairing with a compatible labeled secondary antibody. Positive and negative phosphorylation controls are important when interpreting results, particularly when comparing untreated and stimulated samples.
