ELK1 is a nuclear transcription factor of the ETS oncogene family whose activity is switched on through phosphorylation by the ERK/MAPK cascade in response to mitogens, growth factors, and cellular stress. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com, recognizes ELK1 specifically when serine 389 is phosphorylated, the modification that correlates with transcriptional activation of immediate-early genes such as c-Fos. The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and has been confirmed to react with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, neuronal activation, and tumor cell proliferation in established model systems. Delivered as a 100 µL liquid aliquot, it is intended for research use only.
