The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and selectively recognizes ELK1 when phosphorylated at serine 383, a modification catalyzed by ERK1/2 within the MAPK cascade that drives ELK1's transcription factor activity. Produced as an unconjugated IgG preparation, this reagent is supplied at 200 µl and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers in oncology, neuroscience, and signal transduction apply it to monitor ERK-dependent activation of immediate-early gene programs, including c-Fos expression, and to track changes in ELK1 phosphorylation status following mitogenic stimulation, growth factor treatment, or pharmacological inhibition of upstream kinases. The antibody's specificity for the phospho-S383 epitope makes it a useful tool for studying dynamic changes in MAPK pathway activity in cultured cells, tissue sections, and lysate-based assays.
