Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against a synthetic peptide spanning amino acids 387–391 (P-R-S-P-A) of human Elk1, a member of the ETS family of transcription factors. Supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl volume, the unconjugated preparation is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, with no magnesium or calcium ions present. The antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of total Elk1 protein and has been validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples. Following shipment at 4 °C, the product should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Polyclonal in nature and produced by immunizing rabbits with the KLH-conjugated peptide followed by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, this primary antibody is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. Researchers studying MAPK/ERK-driven transcriptional regulation, immediate-early gene responses, and phosphorylation-dependent Elk1 signaling pathways will find this reagent well-suited for both immunoblotting and tissue- or cell-based localization studies.
