Raised in rabbit against ELK1, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of purified reagent for laboratory research. ELK1 (Ets Like-1 protein) is a member of the ETS transcription factor family and acts as a nuclear effector of the RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK MAPK cascade; phosphorylation by ERK1/ERK2 enables ELK1 to dimerize with serum response factor and engage serum response elements controlling immediate-early genes such as FOS.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA workflows, the reagent recognizes endogenous ELK1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. Investigators use it to monitor ERK pathway activation in cultured cells, chart ELK1 distribution across brain and tumor tissue sections, pull down ELK1-containing chromatin or signaling complexes from lysates, and quantify phospho-ELK1 dynamics under stimulation conditions. The unconjugated format leaves the antibody free for direct labeling with HRP, biotin, fluorophores, or nanobeads in custom assay development.

Each vial is aliquoted in storage buffer suitable for cold-chain handling; for long-term stability, the reagent is stored at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light when working with fluorescent secondary reagents. Researchers in signal transduction, oncology, neuroscience, and developmental biology routinely apply this reagent to track how extracellular cues translate into gene expression changes through the MAPK module.
