Raised in rabbit against full-length human EIF5B, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is affinity-purified to support immunofluorescence (IF) detection of endogenous EIF5B in fixed human cell lines and cryosectioned tissue. EIF5B is the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5B, a cytoplasmic GTPase that catalyzes joining of the 60S and 40S ribosomal subunits during the final step of translation initiation, working alongside eIF1A and GTP to position the initiator methionine tRNA on the start codon of the mRNA.

The polyclonal format presents multiple epitopes on the target protein, which helps maintain reproducible staining across preparations when fixation conditions or imaging parameters vary. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it pairs with a fluorescently labeled secondary antibody of the researcher's choice for indirect detection. Validation work on this lot is restricted to IF on human samples; reactivity with mouse, rat, or other species has not been established for this antibody.

Supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a vial, the antibody is shipped ready to dilute into standard IF workflows. Store refrigerated at 4 °C and protect from light to preserve activity; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and keep the vial tightly sealed between uses. For research use only.
