EIF5A2 (Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 5A2) is a hypusine-modified translation factor implicated in tumor cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis, with elevated expression documented in ovarian, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinomas. The protein requires the unique hypusine post-translational modification for its activity in mRNA translation elongation and peptide bond formation. This Antibodies.com reagent is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the human EIF5A2 protein and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Researchers use the antibody to probe EIF5A2-dependent translation programs in cancer cell lines and primary tumor sections, and the unconjugated format allows pairing with a secondary detection reagent of choice. Each vial contains 100 µl of antiserum sufficient for multiple blots and staining runs, and the polyclonal reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, supporting robust signal in both denaturing and fixed-sample conditions.
