EIF5A (Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 5A) is a highly conserved protein essential for translation elongation, particularly of proline-rich mRNAs, and for mRNA turnover and nuclear export. It is uniquely modified by hypusination, a post-translational addition of hypusine required for its activity in cell proliferation and stress response pathways. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against EIF5A and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. With broad reactivity to human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports translational studies in cancer biology, viral host-factor research, and investigations of programmed cell death. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, suitable for standard immunodetection protocols including fluorescence imaging and chromogenic staining of fixed tissue sections. The unconjugated format provides flexibility for downstream conjugation to fluorophores, enzymes, or beads according to the user's assay design.
