Anti-EIF4G2 Antibody

This Rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 2 (EIF4G2), also known as DAP5 and death-associated protein 5, and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL. The unconjugated antibody was raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide of human EIF4G2 and purified by affinity chromatography on the immunogen, then formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. According to the manufacturer, the reagent detects the endogenous level of total EIF4G2 protein and is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. It has been tested for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of cap-independent translation initiation. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity.
