Anti-eIF4G (Ab-1232) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 1 (eIF4G), specifically recognizing an epitope surrounding amino acids 1230–1234 (P-V-S-P-L) of the human protein. Each vial contains 50 µl of unconjugated antibody at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The reagent is validated for Western blotting (1:500–1:1000), immunohistochemistry (1:50–1:100), and immunofluorescence/ICC (1:100–1:200), and it has been confirmed to react with human samples while detecting the endogenous level of total eIF4G protein. The IgG polyclonal preparation is purified by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific peptide and targets a protein with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 220 kDa. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon receipt, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
