Anti-eIF4E (R215) Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E, the cap-binding subunit of the eIF4F complex that loads 7-methylguanosine-capped mRNAs onto the ribosome during translation initiation. The antibody was raised against a peptide sequence centered on the R215 residue of eIF4E and is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, pH approximately 7.2.

Validated for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections, the reagent cross-reacts with eIF4E from human, mouse, and rat samples. It supports research on cap-dependent translation control, MNK1/2-mediated phosphorylation signaling, and elevated eIF4E expression in tumor biology, including matched xenograft and syngeneic models where reactivity across human and rodent origin samples enables direct species comparison on the same immunostaining run.
