Immunoglobulin raised in rabbit recognizes the cap-binding translation initiation factor EIF4E, a 25 kDa protein that docks the 7-methylguanosine mRNA cap and drives cap-dependent protein synthesis. Phosphorylation at Ser209 by MNK1/2 kinases modulates its activity, and elevated EIF4E levels are implicated in oncogenic translation programs across multiple tumor types.
