Anti-EIF4A1 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A1 (EIF4A1), a DEAD-box RNA helicase that forms part of the eIF4F cap-binding complex responsible for recruiting ribosomes to the 5' end of mRNAs. Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated IgG preparation recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat orthologues, making it a versatile tool for comparative studies in cell lysates and tissue sections.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, the antibody supports detection of endogenous EIF4A1 protein in cultured mammalian cells and in paraffin-embedded samples. EIF4A1 is broadly expressed in proliferating cells and plays a central role in cap-dependent translation initiation, so the reagent is commonly deployed when investigating protein synthesis control, stress granule biology, oncogenic translation programs, or the response of cells to compounds that interfere with helicase activity.

The product is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum in a vial. For short-term use, refrigerate; for longer storage, freeze aliquots at -20 °C and protect from light. Centrifuge briefly before opening to recover the full volume and limit freeze-thaw cycles of working aliquots.
