Target the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit I (EIF3I) with this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com. EIF3I is a ~36 kDa cytoplasmic protein that forms part of the multi-subunit eIF3 complex, which recruits the 40S ribosomal subunit to mRNA during cap-dependent translation initiation. The protein, also referenced as EIF3S2 or TRIP-1 in the literature, contributes to scaffolding of the eIF3 holocomplex and has been linked to TGF-β receptor signaling through direct interaction with the type II receptor cytoplasmic domain.

Supplied as 100 µl of antiserum in a vial, this polyclonal reagent recognizes multiple epitopes across the target, allowing detection of conformational or post-translationally modified forms. The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, making it appropriate for monitoring endogenous EIF3I expression across cultured mammalian cell lines and in formalin-fixed tissue sections.

For Western blot applications, a band near the expected molecular weight of EIF3I can be detected using chemiluminescent or fluorescent secondary reagents at an empirically determined working dilution. For immunohistochemistry, optimize antigen retrieval conditions to match your specific fixative and embedding protocol. Store refrigerated in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and keep the vial on ice when preparing dilutions to preserve antibody activity.
