EIF3H, a 40 kDa subunit of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 complex that loads onto the 40S ribosomal subunit to position the initiator tRNA and mRNA during cap-dependent translation initiation, can be selectively detected in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows with this unconjugated IgG reagent from Antibodies.com. The antibody is supplied at 100 µl and has been validated against human, mouse, and rat samples.

EIF3H, also referred to as INT6 or eIF3-p40, is studied as a candidate driver in tumours where amplification of the 6q23 locus raises its expression, and as a component of the UV-induced DNA damage response through its interaction with the INT6/p40-Rad24 complex. Researchers use this polyclonal reagent to characterise translation initiation stoichiometry, dissect non-canonical nuclear roles of eIF3 subunits, and probe how altered EIF3H levels shift the balance between cap-dependent and IRES-mediated translation in cancer cell models.
