The EIF3E target (also called eIF3-p48 or INT6) is a core subunit of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 complex, the largest of the eIF assemblies required for cap-dependent mRNA translation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a vial, intended for western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows.

Reactivity has been characterized on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting comparative work in cell lysates and fixed-cell imaging. EIF3E is of research interest because of its dual role in translation initiation and as a component associated with the COP9 signalosome; its dysregulation has been examined in the context of MMTV-int6 integration events in breast tumor models and in broader oncogenic signaling studies.

For handling, the vial should be kept refrigerated for routine use, and longer-term storage is typically achieved by freezing small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Recommended applications are western blot for protein-level detection from lysates and immunofluorescence for subcellular localization, including the nuclear-cytoplasmic distribution that has been reported for this subunit. For research use only.
