The EIF2S2 gene encodes the beta subunit (eIF2β) of the heterotrimeric eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, a GTP-binding complex that escorts initiator methionyl-tRNA to the small ribosomal subunit during cap-dependent protein synthesis. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognizes an epitope on EIF2S2 and has been validated by Antibodies.com for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of translational regulation, stress-granule dynamics, and the integrated stress response.

Each vial contains 50 µL of polyclonal antiserum in a buffered carrier solution. For short-term use, store at 4 °C; for longer term, aliquot and store at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The unconjugated format gives researchers freedom to pair the reagent with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies, and the IgG isotype is broadly compatible with standard anti-rabbit detection systems across WB and IHC workflows. Supplied as a single-use research reagent, it is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
