Anti-eIF2a (phospho S49) Antibody

Available through Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognises eIF2a (also referred to as EIF2S1) when phosphorylated at serine 49. It has been validated for use with human, mouse and rat samples.

According to the manufacturer, the reagent is suitable for Western blot, immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, with recommended dilutions of WB: 1:500-1:2,000, IHC: 1:50-1:100 and ICC/IF: 1:100-1:200. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 40 kDa.

The antibody was raised against a phospho-specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding S49 of human EIF2S1 and is purified by affinity chromatography. It is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
