Anti-eIF2a (Ab-51) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is directed against the 65 kDa eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A (eIF2a) and binds the region surrounding residues 49–53 (E-L-S-R-R) of the human protein. The unconjugated IgG antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume of phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and it is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications. It reliably detects endogenous levels of total eIF2a in samples from human, mouse and rat, making it a versatile choice for cross-species studies of translation initiation and stress-response signalling.
