From Antibodies.com comes a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit and directed against eIF2α (I45). The unconjugated reagent is validated for western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 11–60 of human eIF2α, and the antibody recognises endogenous levels of eIF2α protein. It is supplied at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.
The target protein has a molecular weight of approximately 38 kDa. The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with purity exceeding 95% as judged by SDS-PAGE.
