Anti-eIF2α (2E4) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 2E4) is raised against eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit alpha (eIF2α, EIF2S1) and is supplied as a 50 µL liquid format at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol (pH 7.2). It is unconjugated, affinity-purified from mouse ascites by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography to >95% purity (by SDS-PAGE), and the host species is mouse with IgG isotype reactivity. The reagent is validated for Western blot (recommended 1:1000) and immunofluorescence (1:50–1:200) applications, and it has been verified to detect endogenous eIF2α in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples with no cross-reactivity to related proteins. The immunogen is a purified recombinant human eIF2α protein fragment expressed in E. coli (UniProt P05198), and the product is intended for research use only. For optimal stability, store at –20 °C for long-term use (up to one year) with aliquoting recommended to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
