Affinity-purified polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit against the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1 (EIF1) protein, supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot of unconjugated IgG. Validated for Western blot detection of the human and mouse target, the antibody enables researchers to probe EIF1 expression across whole-cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and ribosome-enriched fractions from cultured mammalian systems.

EIF1 plays a central role during the scanning phase of cap-dependent translation, promoting faithful AUG start codon selection and discriminating against upstream open reading frames that would otherwise produce truncated or extended peptides. Because altered EIF1 levels have been linked to ribosomopathy models, oncogenic translation reprogramming, and integrated stress responses, the reagent supports studies in gene expression regulation, cancer cell signaling, and basic mechanistic work on 43S pre-initiation complex assembly.

Each lot is supplied as a single-use vial at a 100 µl working volume; the recommended handling is storage at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Host species is Rabbit, clonality is Polyclonal, isotype IgG, and the conjugate is unconjugated, leaving the user free to pair the primary with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin secondary reagents depending on the Western blot workflow in use.
