Antibodies.com offers this rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human EHHADH (Enoyl-CoA Hydratase and 3-Hydroxyacyl-CoA Dehydrogenase), the peroxisomal bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the second and third steps of the fatty acid β-oxidation pathway. Validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows, the unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µL of antiserum and is intended for research use only. The antibody detects the human target and is commonly applied in studies of peroxisomal metabolism, hepatocyte lipid handling, and renal proximal tubule function, where altered EHHADH expression has been linked to inherited mitochondrial fatty-acid oxidation phenotypes and to dominant Fanconi renotubular syndrome. Brief incubations on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes followed by chemiluminescent detection are typical for WB, while IF is performed on paraformaldehyde-fixed cells using standard fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents. Aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C in working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over long-term use.
