EGLN1, also known as PHD2 (prolyl hydroxylase domain protein 2), acts as a key cellular oxygen sensor that hydroxylates HIF-alpha subunits under normoxic conditions, targeting them for proteasomal degradation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against the EGLN1 target and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications on human, mouse, and rat samples.
Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the format arrives ready to aliquot and should be stored refrigerated for long-term stability. The polyclonal clonality broadens epitope coverage, supporting detection of endogenous EGLN1 in cell culture lysates and tissue sections. Researchers studying hypoxia signaling, angiogenesis, erythropoietin regulation, tumor microenvironment biology, and ischemic disease models use this reagent to probe HIF pathway activity and oxygen-sensing mechanisms.
