EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor) carries multiple tyrosine phosphorylation sites on its C-terminal regulatory tail that are dynamically modified during receptor signaling. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and selectively recognizes EGFR when phosphorylated at tyrosine 1110, providing a phospho-specific readout of receptor activation state in human samples.
Supplied as an unconjugated IgG reagent in a 200 µl liquid format, the antibody is validated for Western blot detection. Researchers commonly apply it to lysates from EGF-stimulated cell lines to confirm pathway activation, examine ligand-induced phosphorylation kinetics, or compare receptor states under different stimulation conditions.
Because the epitope depends on phosphorylation at Y1110, the antibody does not detect the unphosphorylated receptor, allowing phospho-specific signal to be interpreted with minimal background from total EGFR protein. The liquid polyclonal format is suitable for standard immunoassay workflows.
