Anti-EGFR (F1086) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide mapping to the C-terminal region of human EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent reliably labels the ~170 kDa receptor band on western blots and produces distinct membranous and cytoplasmic staining in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.

Validated for WB and IHC workflows, the antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues in addition to human EGFR, making it a useful reagent for comparative tumor biology and receptor tyrosine kinase signaling studies. Researchers commonly apply it to characterize receptor expression in lung, breast, colorectal, and head-and-neck cancer models, to monitor downstream phosphorylation following ligand stimulation, and to validate CRISPR or RNAi knock-down phenotypes.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. For best results, aliquot upon arrival, store at -20°C, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity.
