Anti-EGFR (Ab-1172) Antibody

Offered through Antibodies.com, this research-grade reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against EGFR (Ab-1172) and is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with no Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ added. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography using a synthetic non-phosphopeptide derived from human EGFR surrounding the tyrosine 1172 phosphorylation site (P-D-Y(p)-Q-Q), and it specifically recognizes endogenous levels of total EGFR protein. It is unconjugated, of the rabbit IgG isotype, and has been validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) on human and mouse samples. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
