Raised in rabbit against the phosphorylated tyrosine 1110 residue of the epidermal growth factor receptor, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com selectively detects the activated form of human EGFR in cell lysates and tissue sections. The immunogen corresponds to a site surrounding Tyr1110, a well-characterized autophosphorylation mark in the C-terminal regulatory tail of EGFR that drives downstream Ras-MAPK and PI3K-Akt signaling.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent in a single vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. Researchers commonly use it at working dilutions appropriate for phospho-protein detection, where it complements total EGFR antibodies by revealing ligand- or mutation-driven receptor activation. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing the phospho-epitope even when surrounding sequence context varies slightly between EGFR isoforms.

For handling, aliquot upon first thaw and store at -20°C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve phospho-specific binding activity. Use standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies appropriate for rabbit IgG. Intended for research use only on human samples expressing EGFR, including studies of receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, tumor biology, and drug response profiling.
